This is somewhat a sad and happy milestone – because as a woman of 5’6″ I shouldn’t have been over 100 kg to start with but nevertheless, I am under again and will never be over 100 kg ever again in my whole life.
Now, why is this so important? Well, first of all it’s a round number. But more importantly, it’s about my father. For my Dad, 100 kg was always the threshold for fat. Whenever he saw someone fat, he said “Wow, I bet he weighs over 100 kg”. His brother is seriously overweight too, and he always mentioned that “Egon weighs over 100 kg, he is so fat”. Well, I am pretty sure Egon weighs quite a bit over 100 kg considering that he is carrying around a hefty little drum in his front.
I never told him that I weigh over 100 kg myself, but I believe I carried my weight fairly well. The few people I told were definitely surprised that I started at 120 kg/263 pounds – and no, the reaction was not fake.
By the way, this was one of those weeks again. I hadn’t lost anything over the last week and I even gained half a pound Monday/Tuesday. But come Wednesday, it went BAM BAM BAM – I lost 0.8, 1.4, 1.4, 0.4 pounds since then which is 4 pounds in 4 days. While I love to lose weight at that rate, I would much rather spread it out over the 2 weeks and lose 2 pounds a week, every week. And yes, I know I have said that before but every time those 10 days of not losing are driving me so crazy!
